What happened to my momentum?

Well, not much going on in the world of knitting. I stopped the poncho I was working on back in Feb and started another one with ribbon yarn. The project just doesn't excite me so I haven't gotten a lot finished on it. It is a shame because it is a beautiful yarn. But, maybe when the weather starts to warm it will motivate me again.

Currently on the needles....

Unfortunately there just hasn't been a lot of time for knitting recently. But, I have been working on a poncho. Got the pattern from the Lion website (a freebie) and it is turning out pretty good. It is black and is a lace pattern which has been a new skill to aquire. But, I have to admit this is one of those projects I just wish was over already. I know I'll enjoy the finished product, but just getting to the end is the challenge.

I've already bought ribbon yarn and I am doing another poncho after this one. Also another freebie pattern from Lion. The color is gorgeous, a beautiful, shimmery green and bluish, very summery looking. I'm hoping to get some wear out of that poncho this summer.

Hope to blog some more soon. There is never enough time for the important things like spending time with dh and our boston, blogging, and of course knitting.

Where is the snow?

So it was supposed to snow today. No snow yet. But, that hasn't stopped me from knitting.

I started the Lion Lace Pattern shawl. The yarn over is giving me a fit. Can't wait to get that licked so I can really get this thing knocked out. I have really enjoyed the poncho I made last year and thought it was time to do another one. I'm doing it in black since I figured that would be so versatile. Stupid Michael's didn't have Lion Wool Ease Chunky, so I had to double up and use two skeins of Wool Ease. I hope it turns out ok. If not, I'll use this as proto type and do another one.

I hope to do a sweater for Miss Zoe. But, I'm just not motivated to do it now. I do have the yarn though. Red and black. The pattern is houndstooth. So cute. She will look adorable in it. If I can ever get to it.

Oh well, too little time, too much knitting to do.

Toodles for now.

The felted hat is complete!

I finished my felted hat today. Yippee! I wanted to post a before and after. I'm so proud that I was able to complete this project with no help! Woo Hoo!

I have felted it, but I am waiting for it to dry. Hope to have it dried in the next day.

Oh, and a side note. If you are visiting my blog, I love comments. Just leave one to say hi if you want. Give a shout out. :)

Where has January gone?

This stupid cough I've had since Christmas night is finally not so bad, but I think this has zapped my strength. I didn't get as much knitting done as I'd hoped over Christmas. But, I have started a felted hat using the Fiber Trends pattern. I'm doing it in black with the short brim. I've ripped the darn thing out 3 times. I hope to finish it soon. I finally got on a roll on it this weekend.

Miss Zoe is doing good and having a good new year so far. Bought her a new toy at Wally World Monday night and she proceeded to destroy it within an hour. Gotta love a boston with a toy. :) She doesn't like the cold, so I hope to maybe do a sweater for her once I get through my hat.

Toodles for now...
